Yorge Armando (Cu/De)
Yorge comes from Havana and was a newcomer at the SalsaNor Rueda Congress 2017, having recently arrived to Europe from Cuba. With his explosive dance energy and wonderful cuban flavour, from the traditional son to the trembling reggaeton, he turned out to be one of the favourite artists at the congress last year. Well done Yorge!! And therefore one of the very first artists to be presented for this years mind-blowing event in Malaga.
Before moving to Germany in 2016, Yorge was Karelia Despaignes dance partner in her dance company, and also main teacher for the dance school Viadanza in Havana. Today he is teaching full time at the Kubáname dance academy in Dresden, where he is building a considerable group of Rueda de Casino dancers.
Yorge is an up-and-coming Cuban star in Europe!! We are very happy to present him to the Rueda de Casino dance audience both as one of 5 judges at the World Championship and as dance instructor during the Salsanor Rueda Congress.
Moe Flex (UK)
He’s back! Moe Flex is one of the most inspiring and entertaining artists on the International Latin dance scene today! His great enthusiasm for dance is impossible to ignore, and with a personal touch Moe ensures every workshop is an experience of life, learning and laughing.
This year, a part from giving some great workshops during the SalsaNor Rueda Congress, Moe will be hosting the WADF Rueda de Casino World Championship as well as the Congress.
Bernt Rygg (No)
Bernt is the closest you get to the SalsaNor Rueda Congress in persona. He has been involved in the organizing of the congress since 2002 and has been teaching at the congress since 2005, always creating popular and innovative Rueda workshops.
He is usually teaching Rueda with specific themes and is committed to work with the various Rueda structures. He is also involved in inventing new ways of using Rueda in social settings, like the Rueda Combo (mixing different structures at the same time) and Ábaco.
Bernt is a key person in the development of tutorial Rueda de Casino videos distributed through the Youtube channel Ruedastandard from 2008 until now, presentation of background information about the dance and creator of new ways of exploring Rueda de Casino.
Esteban Isnardi (Uruguay/Switzerland)
Esteban is one of the most important communicators of Cuban culture in the world the last couple of decades, having taught Cuban dances in 50 countries and on all 5 continents, author of several books, writing poetry and doing artistic drawings, all dedicated to the Cuban culture!
He is retiring in 2018 and we are proud to present him at the SalsaNor Rueda Congress, primarily representing WADF as Scrutineer for the WADF Rueda de Casino World Championship, but also to give one of his favorite workshops during the event.
Esteban has grown up in Uruguay dancing Candombe in his district. This brought him naturally to the Casino and Salsa world, creating his own school 20 years ago in Switzerland. This will be the 4th time we happily present Esteban Isnardi at the SalsaNor Rueda Congress!
Pablo Miranda (Chile/Norway)
Pablo is a SalsaNor Rueda Congress veteran, receiving among the highest ratings on our evaluations, year after year. No wonder we don’t want to let him go! He lives in Kristiansand in Norway, where he also runs his own dance academy Salsa Sí. Make sure not to miss his workshops in Malaga. Pablo dances Casino (Cuban salsa) and Cross Body.
Erodys Castillo & Tenna Quist (Cuba/Denmark)
Erodys is a brilliant dancer from Havana, Cuba, living in Denmark for the last 10 years. He runs the dance school BailaSiempre in the danish town Horsens together with his partner Tenna. They have also established one of Denmarks best cuban festivals, the Baila Siempre Salsa Weekend 1st weekend of June.
This lovely couple are extremely popular dance teachers both in Denmark and internationally, having great patience, sense of humor and lots of experience to share with you. They have been part of the SalsaNor Rueda Congress for at least half of the 16 editions, as main instructors and also as co-organizers both in Aarhus in 2012 and in Roskilde 2015. We are very happy to have them on the team for the Rueda Congress in Malaga this year!
Ethan Wagner (USA)
Sassan Ito (Germany)
Sassan started dancing 30 years ago, with ballroom dancing. Today he is focusing on development of Rueda de casino, and has contributed to some of the new Rueda structures, like Rueda Torno and Rueda Mixta. Sassan is an exceptional Rueda caller (cantante), and with humour and great didactic skills he manages to teach complex structures in a smooth way. This is the second year that Sassan is teaching at the SalsaNor Rueda Congress.
Yuliet Estrada Linares (Cuba / Norway)
